For ophthalmology students – I am Close to many ophthalmology clincs that accept elective students. About 20 – 25 minutes drive from University and Foothills Hospital. Claire's home is an excellent place to stay if you're visiting the south part of Calgary. Clean, cozy, quiet space in a nice neighbourhood near a grocery store, restaurants, coffee shop, and gym, a short distance from Rockyview Hospital. Claire was very kind and friendly, and went above and beyond for us while there and even drove us to the hospital every morning! Highly recommended.
Amazing place to stay. Cozy, clean, roomy and has the cutest dog to keep you company. Super close to Rockyview hospital. Claire is incredibly nice and approachable. She also drives you to the hospital when she is able. The place is also really close to bus stops if you want to go exploring and right next to a grocery store so you never have to worry about running out of food. Overall, highly recommended! Will make your elective experience that much better.
Excellent place to stay if you are going to be at Rockyview. The grocery store is across the street which is helpful. Claire was a kind and professional host. The accommodations were clean and tidy. Claire was even kind enough to drive me to the hospital in the morning and pick me up in the afternoon since I did not have a car. Other times, I would walk home around the Glenmore pathway which is a beautiful walk home. As the other reviews have mentioned here, I would recommend Claire's place.
Excellent choice of a rental for an elective at Rockyview! The rental covers a comfortable bedroom as well as access to the bathroom, kitchen, backyard (w/BBQ), and washer/dryer. It's walking distance to a grocery & liquor store and a 5-10 min drive to the hospital. Claire is a great host and very accommodating of your needs. She has a small dog, Ziggy, who is unobtrusive if you want to be left alone but friendly and cute if you are missing your own pet at home.
Excellent place to stay for electives in SW side of Calgary. Close to all amenities, including grocery stores, gas station, shoppers etc. Claire is a wonderful host, and is always around to help and guide on city routes and local traffic updates. She also offers to drive students to the hospital if they do not have a car of their own. Very friendly and professional. I highly recommend this place for both short and long term rentals.
Excellent place to stay! I'm a fourth year med student from MUN, and spent two weeks at Claire's place during one of my electives and was not disappointed for a second. The space is very clean, and in a friendly and safe neighbourhood. Was an ideal location - about 10 minute drive to Rockyview General Hospital, with groceries, gas, liquor store and more all within a 2-3 minute walk. Claire was incredibly friendly and welcoming, offering tips and tricks for getting around the city. She respected my privacy when needed and was also happy to engage in conversation when I wanted to socialize for a while. Definitely pleased to have had this place recommended to me by a fellow med student, as I will do the same!
