Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University is a public medical school in Stony Brook, New York. It is part of Stony Brook University, a flagship of the State University of New York (SUNY) system and one of 62 members of the Association of American Universities (AAU), the invitation-only organization of the best research universities in North America.

Renaissance School of Medicine is part of Stony Brook Medicine, the University's medical enterprise, which encompasses Stony Brook University Hospital, Stony Brook Children's Hospital, Stony Brook Southampton Hospital and the Long Island State Veterans Home, plus more than 100 outpatient care sites throughout Suffolk County. It is one of five schools of the Health Sciences at Stony Brook University, which also include Dental Medicine, Health Technology and Management, Nursing and Social Welfare.

 

Stony Brook University Hospital (SBUH) is Long Island's premier academic medical center serving the healthcare needs of Long Island residents. With 628 beds, SBUH serves as the region's only tertiary care center and Level 1 Trauma Center, and is home to the Stony Brook Heart Institute, Stony Brook Cancer Center, Stony Brook Children's Hospital, Stony Brook Neurosciences Institute, and Stony Brook Digestive Disorders Institute.

Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC) includes a 615-bed acute care facility integrated with a network of ambulatory primary care and specialty sites. NUMC also has an 889-bed long-term care facility.

Veterans Affairs Medical Center  (VAMC) provides a full range of services, with state-of-the-art technology as well as education and research. VAMC operates a 508-bed acute care hospital, a 190-bed nursing care home facility, and five community-based outpatient clinics.

Stony Brook Southampton Hospital is a 125-bed, voluntary, not-for-profit facility.  The Hospital offers a full continuum of ambulatory and inpatient services ranging from primary medical care to specialized surgical procedures. Stony Brook Southampton is a New York State-designated Stroke Center and its Emergency Department is the sole provider of emergency care on the South Fork.

South Nassau Communities Hospital is a 455-bed, acute care, not-for-profit teaching hospital located in Oceanside.

Eastern Long Island Hospital on the North Fork also provides clinical training sites to medical students and residents.
