The University of Laval Medical School is a French-language institution located in Quebec City, Quebec. As a French-speaking institution,  Laval Medical School primarily focuses on the educational and medical needs of the province.

Founded in 1848, The Laval Medical School is one of Canada's oldest medical institutions. The Université Laval Medical School prides itself on training the residents of Quebec to become fantastic practitioners.

The four to five year MD program admits 223 students yearly. Students may pick the duration of their first two years of pre-clinical study depending on their choice of specialization. The majority of students admitted are Quebec residents, and only a small pool of applicants are accepted from other provinces or countries.

Laval Medical School enjoys affiliation with clinical training networks across eastern and northern Quebec. Students have the opportunity to hone their practice in a variety of settings including, residential, urban, and rural areas.
